Day 8 - Studio City Macau

On day 8 of our trip, we are heading for the much awaited trip to neighbouring Macau, this time via the new route bridge recently completed early last year.

We took the route from Tungchung via bus B6 which took us straight to the bridge.

After about half hour ride, we reached the bridge and proceeded to purchase the bus ticket to Macau, which costs HKD65.

Upon reaching Macau, we took a cab, albeit a bit lost, to our hotel at Studio City.

The hotel blew us when we arrived as we were awed by the presentation and impressiveness of the hotels for its Futuristic theme.

There was Elektron lighting cars at display which we took a couple of shots.

Given off peak season, we were allowed to enter our room at 12 clock much to our delight to put down our things before heading for lunch.

The room was very spacious, and it exhibits nice design simple enough for a great stay during these 2 days.

We went for lunch downstairs thereafter at Joyride, a classic 1950s Hollywood car themes which delight the kids because we were able to fine right inside the car itself!

Surprisingly, the food was such delicious too.

After lunch we decided to just walk inside the hotel premise itself and had a good rest for the day since we were all so exhausted.

Day 7 - Noah's Ark

On day 7, we went to the Noah's Arkm after hearing much rave reviews about them but seemingly not as mainstream popular as the famously known Disneyland.

We went there via Tsing Yi Station as we stayed near the Tung Chung area and boarded bus Number 330 at the exit C of Tsing Yi station.

The bus costs around HKD6 and we stopped at the next stop at Beach Commercial Complex overlooking a very beautiful beach and Lantau bridge island.

As we went on a weekday, the place is very empty but we truly enjoyed the quietness of the park.

Once we entered the park, we were immediately greeted by a huge overlooking Noah Ark's ship with plenty of animals that allow good photo taking opportunity, especially with young children.

The sun was shining right hot so we went immediately to the exhibition to get some much needed air conditioner.

There were some small live animals and also exhibitions regarding children stories where they will explain to you such as the three little pigs.

I like that the place had a lot of interactions that the children can touch see and play so they won't get bored and you can see that there are plenty of different activities lined up for them to do that.

It was noon so we proceeded to the hotel resort nearby the area for lunch overseeing the beautiful Lantau island ocean.

After lunch, we went to the Treasures House which were much bigger than we expected. It was located at another entrance different from the exhibition.

Overall, we really love this place and almost couldn't believe that not more people came to know about this place.

For everyone with kids, this is a much bigger thumbs up than the very famed and touted Disneyland and it costs a lot cheaper too.

Day 4 - Ngong Ping 360

Today's itinerary was taking the cable car to see the Big Buddha on the Lantau Island. The trip itself going up to the mountain spells excitement as we geared up to head to the mountain.

We headed out of the house a bit later than usual and had to pay for the consequences by having to queue longer for the cable car because it was a public holiday.

By the time we took the cable car, it was already 11.30 and we arrived at the village slightly after 12 in the afternoon.

The trip to the top took about 10 to 15 minutes and it was pretty cooling weather when we reached the top even though it was right in the midst of afternoon.

We quickly settled for lunch at the Zen Noodle once we arrived because it was time for lunch. The lunch was decent and surprisingly much better than what we had at the Disneyland.

The whole village wasn't very big so we roamed around buying some toys for the kids and also looking for some souvenirs.

We didn't manage to climb the 270 steps stairs to the top of Big Buddha as we had 3 kids in our tows so we just decided to take a snapshot for memories from the bottom.
