Airbnb JB Review - One Sentral Serviced Residence

It was a long weekend because of the Good Friday so we decide to head down for a quick getaway at JB because we didn't want to travel too far and all the air tickets are marked up considerably.

We plan for a 3N2D stay at JB and I came across this Airbnb which pride themselves as a family and kid friendly apartment and thus decided to give it a try.

The Service Residence is located at Nusajaya area, which is just beside the famous Horizon Hills residence which face the hill landscape. It is about 15 minutes from the custom CIQ so by car it is not extremely far.

Communication with the owner was very smooth as he provided clear instruction on how to check in and out which is very swift and easy to follow.

There was also a time when we had our water issues and the owner made quick arrangement to inform us when it would get back.

You can see that the rooms are very child friendly as there are lots of animals theme photos on the wall and also accessories such as the baby bathtub. It also has a couple of books which we read for our kids at night.

One of the main highlight of the house is the game console which was a big hit with my kids and myself. Half of the time, you can see my son glued to the screen like this.

It also bring back a lot of memories as I used to play games such as bishibashi, metal slug, final fight, street fighter and so on when I was his age.

In the morning, we went down to the common area playground outdoor to let the kids run off some steam.

It was a nice playing area overlooking the swimming pool which we didn't manage to utilize this time because our son is having a fever and cold.

We spent time here for about an hour in the morning before the sun gets too hot and we went to the mall for lunch.

If we have one constructive feedback/criticism about the place for sake of improvement, it would be to place a children bunk bed in one of the room because it will make it even more special to the kids who are enjoying their time. I saw a few places in Taipei and Shanghai and it was a very big hit with the family.

Since they have all the touches of a family apartment so why not go all for it to make it an all exclusive one and only one in JB. That will make it very special.

Still, I think everyone enjoyed their time off and we had an overall great stay at this apartment.

Indoor Playground @ Waka Waka

It's been a long time now that we have not been to an indoor playground.

We used to frequent it so much in the past that we had covered almost all the indoor playground available but took a few months to step away without them after we travel quite a bit these few months.

Today, we chose to go back to an indoor playground we once used to frequent. It's the Waka Waka which is located on level 5 of the Annex building of the Furama Hotel by the Havelock.

There is the toddler section right upon entering the entrance where younger kids can jump around on the floating.

It is easy to supervise because there is only one entrance and exit and the older kids are usually interested more at the tunnel area so it's relatively empty this section.

After a while, both Oscar and Oliver decide to head down to the tunnel climbing area.

This is the part that needs us parents to follow and supervise as we do not know where the tunnel would lead to so we follow them everywhere they go and was so exhausted by the time it came to an end.

The tunnel leads from one area to another and there are different hurdles such as the Bridge crossing that they have to endure in order to get to the other side.

It also came with a slide from the top to get down.

Overall it was a fun place to burn some energy for the kids.

We also had our lunch there so it was a combi of play + lunch before we get back home to get the kids back to napping.

The entry price was decent as those above 90 cm would have to pay $28 while those below have to pay $23. I thought its slightly pricey for the younger kid who probably didn't manage to play as much as elder kids.
